I am looking for a new challenge to lead the environmental and health and safety strategy of a manufactruing company to achieve excellent results in EHS pereformance . I am currently looking at an other position as in my current role the span of control and region has been reduced as a result of divestures.

I have a broad international experience on environment , health and safety, security and quality (EHSSQ) in the chemical industry. Due to a more then 25 years experience I am knowledgeable with the management of a chemical manufacturing site. I have a broad experience with integrated EHSSQ management systems ,ISO 14001/9001, RC 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification, auditing, responsible care and sustainability. My specialism is around behavioral based safety, incident and near miss management, auditing and knowledge of legal requirements in Europe.
My added value lies in the fact that I have a thorough understanding and knowledge of EHSS management for a manufacturing sites, therefore I am comfortable with priority setting, performance indicators and EHSSQ plans and execution. I have successfully lead teams and implemented several projects related to continuous improvement of EHSS performance, like incident and near miss reporting and investigation and safety leadership training. I am convinced that the safety behavior of all employees play a crucial factor in the EHSS management. Therefore the safety behavior is a way to leverage to all aspects of a company like productivity, quality and customer satisfaction and in other words: Operational Excellence.

Chemtura is a specialty chemicals company with around 3500 employees worldwide and 1000 in EMEA. I am Responsible for EHSS at all of the manufacturing locations in EMEA (UK/NL/I/GER) , of which 5 manufacturing sites (high risk Seveso sites). The EHSS managers and their staff report directly to me, the EHSS EMEA team counts 12 people. In my current position I have built a strong EHSS EMEA team, developed and worked on the EHSS EMEA strategy and plan. I have implemented Safety Leadership training program for the EMEA region and significantly improved the incident and near miss reporting, the risk classification and root cause evaluation and sharing of best practices . Team member of the Chemtura global safety committee- Auditing and Leadership Development.
